Russian IT giant Yandex is opening a development centre in Serbia

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke with the delegation of the Russian IT company Yandex, which announced the opening of the company's development centre in Serbia, which will employ over 800 engineers who will work on the most modern IT solutions, the Government of Serbia announced.

At the meeting with the Yandex delegation, led by the head of the international policy department Maksim Kozlov, it was agreed to continue talks and improve cooperation in the field of education, given that the company, in addition to creating software, also works in the field of IT education.

Ana Brnabic pointed out that the Government is open to cooperation and ready to provide help and support to global IT companies that open research centers in Serbia and employ IT experts from all over the world.

Russian IT company Luxoft representative office, whose 85 percent of employees came from Russia, was also opened in Belgrade on Friday, November 18, 2022.
