During the ceremony, the monarch took the coronation oath, before he was anointed with Holy oil, and blessed and consecrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Sitting in the 14th century King Edward's Chair, the King was then crowned with the St Edward's Crown.
God Save the King!
The coronation is a testament to the enduring strength of the British monarchy and
symbol of stability and continuity.
I wish King Charles III many years of a successful reign and to the people of the United Kingdom.
